This section documents changes and enhancements to XStudio Voice Tracker by version number and date. For information on less-recent changes and enhancements, see the Revision History topic.
.Important Change. The minimum operating system requirement for XStudio Voice Tracker is now Windows 7. If you attempt to install XStudio Voice Tracker on an older operating system, the installation program will advise you the OS is not supported.
.Important Change. XStudio Voice Tracker now requires the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015‑2019 Redistributable software be installed. Previously, the redistributable software was the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable. During installation, this software will be installed automatically if not present or an older version is present on the system.
.Enhancement. XStudio Voice Tracker now stores event logs as daily, dated logs instead of the original single event log. As a default, event logs are kept for 14 days.
.Enhancement. Users can now modify the default event logging detail and control the number of daily event logs that are retained. See the topic on Using the Event Log Configuration Dialog for additional information.
.Enhancement. Additional event logging has been added as a default to make it easier to see when a user is auto-tracking or manually recording voice tracks when troubleshooting.
.Enhancement. XStudio Voice Tracker now detects latest Windows 11 versions and adjusts its display accordingly.
.Enhancement. Beta support has been added for using Audio Science ASIO drivers. During installation of the audio engine service, you have the option to configure the audio engine to use ASIO drivers. Note this option applies only to users who have a supported Audio Science audio card installed on the host system and have installed the ASI ASIO drivers.
.Enhancement. When viewing events within XStudio Voice Tracker, you can now change the text display size if desired.
.Fix. When XStudio Voice Tracker was registered, restrictions on the maximum recording length were not lifted without the user exiting and restarting XStudio Voice Tracker. Now, this restriction is lifted immediately on successful registration.
