For registered copies of iDAF (Pro version), editing of cart headers is available. To edit a cart header, [Double-Click] on the item you wish to edit. You can also use the [F3] function key. The cart edit dialog appears, similar to the example shown.

You can edit the cart description, agency field, log length, start date, end date, AUX Mark, audio length (shorten only), distribution and gain trim. For multi-cut carts, you can edit the cut rotation and next to play setting.

Items that can be edited vary by the type of cart you are editing. Not all items are available for all types of carts. If the cart has a version 1.4 header, additional tabs and fields are available for viewing (all versions) or editing (Pro Version only).

Once you have completed your edits, click on the [Commit] button to save the changes. iDAF saves the revisions and creates the new cart as safely as possible, first making a copy of the original audio file, writing the updated header information, and finally deleting and renaming the original audio file (if saving as .DAF files) or renaming the temporary file to .DFF (if saving for ACP import).

You can also open for viewing (all versions) or editing (Pro Version only) a single .DAF file without having to select it from the displayed audio list. Select the menu item File | Open Single .DAF File to display a file selection dialog. Upon selecting the file, the standard cart edit dialog (shown above) appears. Note that some limitations apply to editing a multi-cut cart, including not being able to edit cut rotations or update the master start and end date fields.
